Happy mother's day Karen

Hello everyone

This is my 4^th mother’s day gift! This one is for Andy’s mum Karen.

I have made her a little birdhouse, as she really likes nature. The paper I used is made from altering the colours on a very old tab and placing it on some green and white backgrounds. I

really love it and would like it as a feature wall in our bedroom! The beautiful humming bird is a freebie from http://www.squigglefly.com/freebies he is so cute. I coloured him with some cheep glitter gel pens (from poundland), as I really wanted him to shine and sparkle like the amazing real one I saw in Egypt. The box template I borrowed from a friend went together very easily, but I could not open the lid so I added a little bird charm under the flap and this seemed to do the trick.

Sitting in the morning sun

Hello everyone

I have just finished this very summery card and it is making me feel I need a holiday. It is two and a bit weeks to Easter holidays, I think, (hope) and I really need a break. Working all day yesterday has made me so tired. So this card was just what I needed to remind me of the relaxing days of the holidays. After all that’s what I go to school for, LOL.

I have used some sea foam embossing powder for the waves for the first time, it makes them stand out I think, what about you? The image is a penny black stamp and the papers are from Just so Scrappy Too at http://justsoscrappytoo.com/. The sentiment is from the song Sitting on the dock of the bay by Otis Redding, a fantastic relaxing song.To finish I added the stitched felt sun letters and two little foam fish.

Girls and boys come out to play

Hello everyone how has your day been? Mine has been good but I am very tired now as I have worked all day instead of part time. The reason for this is that the children from my class put on a show today. It was supper and all of the parents enjoyed it. So I have made a card for them. It is a bit different as I have coloured all of the clothes with glitter gel pens because the digital stamp was quiet dark and I wanted to brighten it up. Happy Mother's Day 3

Hello everyone I hope you are having a good day.

Today I have made something a little bit different, a book box. I followed a wonderful tutorial from Whiff of Joy at http://whiffofjoy.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2011-01-17T12%3A00%3A00%2B01%3A00&max-results=7 for a book box. It did take a long time though and was a little bit tricky. You needed three hands to put the folds together!

I decorated it with punched and paper flowers and a lovely image from Create with TLC at http://createwithtlc-createwithtlc.blogspot.com/ that I coloured with copic’s. To finish I added a tag, some jewels, pearls and some ribbon.

Spring fairy

Hello everyone

For this card I decided to make the main colour green. I am doing it a little bit differently today by having a large sentiment and a little image. The sentiment is a freebie from Created with TLC at http://createwithtlc-createwithtlc.blogspot.com/, this is a great sight for freebies. The fairy is from Mo’s Digital Pencils and the flowers are Papermaina. The paper is old from my stash and I have added some glitter and rhinestones for sparkle. Lastly I have had a go at some dry embossing! It looks very nice close up, but I am not to sure how it looks in the photo.

The King and I

Hello everyone

This is my second mother’s day present. This one is for Mikeee’s mum. I have made a bag with a lift top lid. It was quite difficult as I had to adapt the pattern to fit the candle he had. You may recognise the two Magnolia’s, as I had used them on a card that got ruined when I spilled superglue all over the table! As I do not like to waste anything, I quickly pulled off the images before they got any glue on them. The table was a terrible mess though and there are still bumps of glue everywhere. Anyway as you can see Mikeee does not like the Magnolia’s because they have no mouths, but wanted me to use the king as he thought it looked like him. When I was out of the room he got a pen and drew a mouth and nose on him. We did laugh he looks so cute and nothing like Mikeee at all. What do you think?

Lets Celebrate with cake

I have made a card today on the theme of being in the kitchen and eating, but wanted to make it a birthday one. So I decided to use the Magnolia chef Edwin sitting on a piece of cake backed with a nest-abilities die.
